Patterned coffee shop glasses: a collection with miniatures
The creative team at Future Cups has created a collection of cups with one shared philosophy — the already familiar Winter and “Green Mountain,” and this season, the playful “Barashi.” What sets this series apart is its fine details and imagery that catch the eye and invite you to look closer.
These illustrated cups for cafés combine practicality with a small visual story. Each design has its own — featuring a snow-covered cottage, Carpathian highland meadows, or amusing little sheep.
Winter — A Winter Fairy Tale on a Cup
The Winter design features a small cottage nestled among white snowy hills. It draws you in with warmth and a sense of home, evoking winter holidays and delicious Ukrainian cuisine.

“Green Mountain” — Carpathian Motifs
Our designer then drew inspiration from the Carpathian highlands and created the “Green Mountain” cup design. It tells a more intricate and imaginative story. There is a couple in love, a flock of geese, and tiny kittens wandering through the grass of a green meadow scattered with wildflowers. These details are not immediately obvious: at first you see a green Carpathian landscape, and then you start to notice its small characters.

“Barashi” — The New Seasonal Collection
And finally, the newcomer — “Barashi.” This is a bright cup featuring a flock of white sheep against a warm terracotta-orange background. It pairs a simple autumnal scene with a touch of gentle irony. At first glance the design gives a feeling of warmth and cosiness, and then the eye is drawn to the main miniature character, who has decided to take a nap. Why “Barashi”? Because it is a visual take on the classic trick of counting sheep to fall asleep. So the seasonal coffee cup collection has gained yet another story, where the main detail hides in the small things.

Why Cafés Need Themed Cups with Miniatures
In the world of coffee, where minimalist text, various shades, and standard illustrations abound, character-based patterns can be exactly the detail that helps a cup stand out. Themed cups with miniatures work as part of a venue’s visual identity and make it more recognizable.
This is especially useful for small cafés, bakeries, and urban coffee spots that do not have a large branding budget. To give a venue character, you do not necessarily need to redesign the entire interior or order dozens of branded items. Designer paper cups allow for a small but noticeable visual accent at precisely the moment when a guest receives their order.
What is more, the ready-made designs can be rotated throughout the year. A winter scene, a green Carpathian landscape, or the autumnal “Barashi” each create a different mood, yet require no new custom design specifically for the venue. So even a small café can occasionally refresh the details of how its drinks are served and offer guests something new.
And then the cup leaves the café along with the guest. It is carried down the street, taken to work or on a walk, placed on a desk. The visual story continues to live outside the venue, and an unusual scene or a small character can catch the eye of others.
The cup also finds its way into social media — in photos taken on the way to work, next to a laptop, on a walk, or at a get-together with friends. The miniature scene adds a detail to the frame that invites a closer look. And alongside the cup, a piece of the café’s visual identity appears in the shot. In this way, the packaging becomes yet another touchpoint between the venue and its audience.
Ready-made themed collections allow you to change the design depending on the season or choose a scene that suits the atmosphere of a café or bakery. And if a venue wants to use its own colours, graphics, or other recognizable elements, a custom cup design can be created.
How to Order Miniature Cups for Your Venue
There is also a practical side to the choice. A cup must suit not only the venue’s style, but also the drinks on the menu. Different formats make it possible to match a cup to specific items. So before ordering, it is worth deciding how to choose cups for your business and which cup volume suits the drink.
Ready-made themed cups can be ordered from a single pack. For Double Wall two-layer cups, there are 25 pieces per pack. So there is no need to order a large print run straight away: you can try a new design, order several options, or rotate them depending on the season. For a small venue, this is also an opportunity to first see which scenes guests prefer before planning the next order.
“Green Mountain” and “Barashi” are available in volumes of 110, 185, 275, and 400 ml. This allows you to match the format to different menu items rather than tying one design to just one drink. Available options can be viewed and illustrated paper cups purchased in the themed cup catalogue.
For cafés, bakeries, and other venues that need illustrated cups in bulk with their own branded design, there is another option — cup branding with a logo. Full-colour printing with a logo or custom design can be applied to Double Wall cups. Production of such cups takes 3–5 weeks from the moment the layout is approved, and the minimum print run for branded products should be confirmed before ordering.
This way you can choose a ready-made seasonal story or create your own — depending on the format, needs, and style of the venue. Each design has its own colour, mood, and characters, but all are united by one idea — to give a pleasant emotional experience.
